Welcome to House of Ellen. Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to House of Ellen.

These Terms of Service apply when you visit our website, use our services or purchase products from us. Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. OUR PRODUCTS

We take care to ensure that product photographs, descriptions, dimensions and other information are as accurate as possible.

Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device or screen settings. As many of our products are decorative homeware, slight variations in colour, finish, texture or appearance may also occur between individual items.

Product measurements are approximate unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to change or discontinue products and to limit quantities available for purchase.

2. ORDERS

When you place an order with House of Ellen, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.

Your order is accepted once we have confirmed and processed it.

Please check your order details carefully before completing your purchase.

If you need to amend or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at houseofellenhome@gmail.com. We will do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled once it has entered the packing or dispatch process.

Your statutory cancellation and return rights are explained in our Return & Refund Policy.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where necessary, including where a product is unavailable, there has been a pricing or listing error, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity. If payment has already been taken for an order we cancel, you will receive a refund.

3. PRICES AND PAYMENT

All prices shown on our website are displayed in pounds sterling (£).

The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown before you complete checkout.

We reserve the right to change prices, offers and promotions at any time. Changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.

4. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Orders will be dispatched to the delivery address provided at checkout.

Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Please ensure that your delivery information is complete and accurate when placing your order.

5. RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Returns, cancellations and refunds are handled in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy and applicable UK consumer law.

For eligible online purchases, customers generally have 14 days from receiving their order to notify us that they wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to return the goods.

Certain products may be excluded from cancellation rights where permitted by law, including sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

6. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If an item arrives damaged, defective or you receive the wrong product, please contact us as soon as possible at houseofellenhome@gmail.com so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.

We may ask you to provide photographs of the item and its packaging to help us assess damage that occurred during delivery.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the content of the House of Ellen website, including our branding, written content, graphics and original imagery, belongs to House of Ellen or is used with permission.

Content must not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without our prior permission.

Third-party trademarks and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our website may use services provided by third parties, including Shopify and payment or delivery providers.

Where you use a third-party service or follow a link to another website, that provider may have its own terms and privacy policies.

House of Ellen is not responsible for the content or operation of independent third-party websites.

9. SHOPIFY

House of Ellen’s online store is powered by Shopify.

Shopify provides the ecommerce technology that enables us to operate our online store; however, purchases made through our store are made directly between you and House of Ellen.

We take the protection of your personal information seriously.

Information provided when you browse our website, contact us or place an order will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our store is hosted by Shopify and certain information may therefore also be processed by Shopify and other service providers necessary to operate our website and fulfil orders.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate.

Occasionally, errors may occur in product descriptions, prices, availability, promotions or other information.

Where an obvious error has occurred, we reserve the right to correct it. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you where appropriate.

If we are unable to fulfil an order, any payment taken for the unavailable item will be refunded.

12. ACCEPTABLE USE

You must not use our website for any unlawful purpose or attempt to interfere with the security, functionality or operation of the website.

You must not knowingly introduce viruses, malicious software or other harmful material.

13. LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

House of Ellen will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract between us was formed, subject always to your rights under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also have rights under the laws applicable where you live.
